Clothing for the Petite, Skinny Women!

Im a petite and skinny young lady. It's harder to find affordable clothes that fit me and look right on me as well. I love shopping at NY&Co, Macy's, Lord and Taylor, Ross, TJ Maxx- and a few others, but sometimes either those stores don't have my 2p (2 petite) or my size is far too expensive!

I have short legs, broad-like shoulders and narrow hips. In other words, I'm an inverted 'triangle'. I love my little shape though. I wouldn't want to change it, but I would however love to find clothes that fit correctly without looking crazy.

The hardest things for me would be finding jeans, dresses, jackets and skirts that I like. I went out and bought a few things and they fit great. The prices was not bad at all either!

So, I saw this faux leather jacket on eBay and I just had to have it. The cut and length is just right for my short torso. The sleeve length was better than perfect. The jacket has the cutest ruffles down the front for some style. It's a nice pretty beige color. Goes great with my Dolce Vita Dacia's in nude! Fit me perfectly! Brand: Yisiman Cost: $32

I saw this above leather jacket on eBay I also just had to have. It's 100% leather and a soft buttery leather too! It's fitted and very stylish. I pair it with skinny jeans and boots. Okay so this 100% brown leather jacket I bought from eBay as well. It's fitted and not as soft as the black leather jacket above, but it's just as stylish and cute on me. It's a true moto style. Okay, so I wear a 2 petite in jeans. It has to be a true petite size jean too! My inseam measures approximately 28"-29". Some really nice fitting jeans I already have. But I realized that in my town of Idaho Falls, they have no 2 petites! I kid you not!! None! So I have to purchase my jeans online. I hate purchasing jeans online because with the different brands, the fit is also different too.

I found out that a girls size 12 plus is equal to a 2 petite size women jeans. So I ordered like 4 pairs of Old Navy girls jeans in size 12 plus. I was so surprised when they fit better than any jeans I have ever bought. The inseam was right on point as I am 4'11" and 108lbs. Wow!

I looked for girls jeans that look appropriate for adults also. I never buy girls jeans that have embellishments or rhinestones or flowers and stuff on them. The girls jeans I buy look like regular ladies jeans. You would never know unless I told you- which I have! Anyhow, the jeans look like a 2 petite!

I bought the Dreamer jean from Old Navy in all the colors they had available. I also started going to Target and Walmart and picking up some girls 12 plus jeans there too! They costed me around $10 each! This was when Old Navy had the black friday sales. But for the most part, girls jeans are much more affordable!

I noticed that Ross Dress for Less and TJ Maxx has the best dresses for the petite ladies like me. They carry petite sizes and xs sizes too. They have a variety of styles and all so very affordable. The empire waist dresses and belted dresses are my favorite.

So it may be hard and it gets frustrating at times shopping for clothing, but most of the time it's fun and exciting and I end up spending hours in the store doing what I love. But it's taken me many years to learn how to dress for my body type. I'm proud to say I'm coming along well. Thanks to the stores that offer variety clothing and sizes for the women of many shapes and sizes.

~THE UGG CLASSIC CARDY~

I wanted a pair of boots that didn't have high heels and wasn't made of leather. I wanted something that was comfortable, yet stylish! I also wanted boots that are going to keep my feet warm. I looked and searched the net and ultimately came up with Uggs Classic Cardy, in black!

I heard of these and I only heard good reviews. Some say the Ugg style is too bulky and big-looking. I didn't care I was so in love with these boots when I first saw pictures of people wearing them, including celebrities!

The cost of the Ugg Classic Cardy are around $140. However, I got mine from a seller on eBay and paid only $75!! Which is a steal for a pair of completely NEW, unworn Uggs in the very popular color- black!

Let me explain a little about the darn boots! First of all the Ugg Classic Cardy has a suede heel guard to prevent them from wearing down. Also, they have sheep skin on the inside to keep your feet extra warm and it also absorbs sweat. Therefore you don't need to wear socks with these boots! In addition, The look of the boot is very stylish. It has thick wool, almost sweater-like.....

Anyhow, I love these boots and the are a fabulous addition to my wardrobe.

Okay so I was searching Walmart.com for a new bicycle. I looked around and found several bikes. One that I noticed was this lovely cruiser by Schwinn. So pink and so attractive! The pink is pearlized and bright. The seat is wide and comfy. So I ordered it! It's a great bike to shofer my babies around in and lose weight in the process. I love it! When I actually get it- I will post some pics ASAP!

New York and Company Checkout Issues.....

Ever went to checkout at newyorkandcompany.com and noticed the cost of the item has changed once or twice? Also, have you noticed an error message when you tryo to complete the checkout process? Well I have, all the time! It's been about a year since I've noticed this problem. NY&Co is a great store with awesome and lovely clothes. I love it there don't get me wrong- but I will not checkout online with them.

I found a wonderfully cute jumpsuit at NY&Co today and went to checkout only to see an error message page. Then I switched computers thinking maybe it's just my particular computer that's causing the problem, no! I encountered another problem on a different computer- in the checkout, I noticed the item amount and the shipping amount didn't add up correctly. It seemed as if their system calculator was way off! I didn't feel comfortable checking out knowing the final amount was incorrect. For instance it would show the item costing $18 and then the shipping amount $4.94 and the tax as $1.25 but the total would be $31.55??!! At one point the total amount showed up as $20.00.

Anyhow, I wanted this jumpsuit badly so...... Did you know that you can call in to place an order? Well that's what I did. This jumpsuit is 100% cotton, all black, V-neck line, 31" inseam and only $18....just lovely! I can't wait to get it and wear it all the time.

You're not crazy- it's all on NY&Co. They have issues with their checkout, that's why they set it up so that you can place an order over the phone. Obviously it's something they either refuse to fix or still haven't gotten around to fixing.

I found this adorable skirt while shopping at a true Florida department store a few weekends back. It is so cute and compliments any body type because it's a flowing skirt. It falls just a little above the knee and the colors are so bold. The flower design is in the front and the back. I love it!

Our new 2010 Volkswagen Jetta Sportwagen!

My husband and I already owned two Volkswagen cars. One VW car we use regulary is the VW Routan. The Routan was great- but it had a Chrysler engine. My husband and I didn't know this when we bouught it. We only found this out after we signed on the dotted line and drove it home. He had severe buyers remorse after purchasing the Routan. Anyhow, I loved it and it had the VW suspension which was awsome! The Routan burned so much gas. It is a Chrysler with a VW name on it that's it!

Anyhow, we realized that we have to get rid of this gas guzzler and invest in a car that allows us more space without compromising comfort. Also, we didn't want to invest in anymore gas guzzlers. So we went to look at the Mazda5 as this is the car I always wanted! :-)) We test drove one, the Touring trim, and it seemed okay to me- but we realized that we would actually be down-grading if we got a Mazda5! Not only that, but they wanted so much for just the Touring! The sales man just kept saying this is a hot little car- first off, the cabin is loud and noisy, there is no storage space, there is nothing automic in this car, the stereo system is basic basic basic, no comfort what-so-ever and it's very compact and cheap-looking!

Cute, but not for us- Mazda5

So we left the Mazda dealership that night and my husband came to me and said we should definitely consider the VW wagon- diesel. I said okay. We went to VW Aristocrat- they said they weren't doing any types of deals on the VW Jetta wagons. No bargaining what so ever- we left there thinking, they are jerks!

We went over to David Maus VW in Orlando , which is where we bought our Routan, and as usual they never said we won't, can't, will not, don't or anything! We didn't go there first because they are over 30 miles away! They just said come on in- which car do you want? They truly never want to lose your business over money. My husband negotiated and came home with this awesome car!

I'm still getting use to all of the features. But this car is way different than our Routan and Matrix.

Coco Chanel Mademoiselle Fake Bottle!

See how there is more bottle than actual perfume?- look at the bottom of the bottle, it's so thick! The real bottle of Coco Chanel Mademoiselle doesn't have such thickness at the bottom like that. Also, see how the Coco label is centered? It should be more near the top of the bottle NOT centered! Now, look at the double c's on the bottle's top. It's not centered AT ALL! The top is straight and even, however the "back-to-back" c's are not.

The box is okay- of course!

My First Fake/Scam of Chanel Mademoiselle

I always buy Coco Chanel Mademoiselle Perfume. It is a hell of a lot of money, but it is well worth it- the perfume that is, NOT the eu de toilet spray! Anyhow I love it because it has a nice, unforgettable scent. The scent is floral and very gentle and romantic. It's very hard to explain. It's unlike no other perfume- EVER! The perfume lasts up to 8 hours, not the eu de toilet spray, which lasts around 2 hours, that's why it costs much more. I sell on eBay all the time and I buy at time too. I won a bid for this perfume in the 3.4 fl oz. size.

I was so happy when it arrived in it's priority box. I opened it and guess what the fuck I saw? I saw a bottle with water in it! Pretty much! I have been buying this perfume for years and I know what's what.

I saw a super thick bottle with a very watery fluid inside (colored water), the signature double c was misaligned, there was NO "r" (for registered trade mark) next to the name Chanel on the bottom of the bottle, the bottle top is like a strong plastic NOT glass and it did not smell like the perfume AT ALL! Not even close.

Luckily I used Paypal to make the payment and it was also covered 100% including shipping. This is very important when buying anything online. Always use paypal and make sure the item is covered 100%. On eBay, it'll say whether or not the item is covered- if the seller doesn't cover it through paypal- DO NOT BUY! I use this rule when purchasing things of value such as electronics, jewelry and other expensive items.

I sent the fake shit :-)) back via priority mail w/ delivery confirmation! And now I'm waiting for my refund. I took pictures of it too. The seller is telling me she didn't know and she didn't really care for the scent and so therfore she didn't know if it was fake or not. That may be true, we may both be victims- however, it's up to the seller to correct this with me, even though she unknowingly sold me a fake bottle of Coco Chanel Mademoiselle.

Remember to ask the seller for close up, good and clear pictures. If they don't want to, don't buy.

Yummy Unsweetened Tea from Mcdonald's!

This is one of my favorites! So good and healthy- I believe. Well it's healthier than the sweet tea for sure! Anyway, I always have to put something in it to sweeten it up a little. I usually use sweet-n-low sweetener for that. A large cup of this tea is only 1$ at Mcdonald's. I picked up a fresh cup while waiting to pick up my daughter at the parent pick-up area. Ohhhh so good to me.

Maybelline: Pink Splash #90

I bought this nail polish, I believe in 2006 or around that time. I never wore it- it sat in a nail polish bag for years because I thought it was too light and it wouldn't look right with my dark compexion. Anyhow, I just tried it one day and vuala- it looks great on me. I couldn't find this color any other place on the net. I don't think Maybelline makes the Wet Shine collection anymore. It's so cute. People always wanna know what color I'm wearing. It's a barbie, rich shiny pink! I think the best color nail polish I have ever had.

Going Crazy for Leopard

Maybe it's just me. But I am so into leopard all of a sudden! I used to think that leopard print is so 70s and trashy-looking! I was shopping in Dillards and tried on Jessica Simpson's 'Leve' flats and fell in love! Are these not the cutest? Cost around $69 bucks if I remember correctly.

Shopping around, I found a pair of flats by Rocket Dog called 'Memories'. They are sold many places including DSW. I bought my "Memories" for $36 bucks at DSW. OMG I realize there are so many leopard print style shoes out there for this year. I love most of them. Too bad I can't afford to splurge! Otherwise I would definitely get the 'Vavoom' by Dolce and Gabbana!

The Vavoom is available for preorder now, I think!

I can't afford it. Even if I could, I probably wouldn't have any place to wear it to :-)) Anyhow, this dress is definitely for the tall and skinny, not the petite (I hate the term short) and average!

I can't splurge right now or probably ever. I wish! This bowler handbag is by Dulce and Gabbana and costs about $2900 bucks! So yes, it's the real deal.

My baby girl is so obsessed with me!

She is my adorable, playful little baby girl. However, she just can't let me go most of the time! This is why I think it's so unusual, she will cry like she's being attacked every time I walk away. I can't leave her for one second, even when she's with her siblings and her dad. I find myself so overwhelmed at times.Also, I can be in her view and she still cries really badly. This is just unreal to me. I've always got to hold her or else she'll just sit there and cry. At times she'll let me put her in the bumbo. However, this lasts about 5 minutes at most! She will sit in her swing for a very short while and I can forget about her bouncer, she wont last in that thing for a second.I hope this attachment will end soon. I'm getting very worn down with her alone and I have a 2 year old and a 6 year old. My 6 year old is a huge help though! She'll hold Savannah for a little bit while I take care of things around the house. I hate to see her cry. She looks terrified, that's why.She is only 7 months now and this has been going on since she has been able to crawl, which was about 1 month ago. Most babies will play with their siblings and toys and cry when they want a bottle or when they are hurt. Savannah cries ALL THE TIME when I'm not holding her.When she was born, I stayed up with her for two days straight! I could'nt sleep for some unknown reason. I held her constantly around that time. I slept with her so close to me all the time. I hope this isn't the cause as I have no idea what to do about this issue.BTW....I'm holding her as I'm typing this blog! Geeeeez

These shoes are so cute! My husband doesn't like them very much. He thinks they are too colorful for a boy. He doesn't understand. He doesn't know- ya see, he's not a shopper like me. I am a die hard shopaholic (well not too much but compared to him, I am) when it comes to my kids. Our son is two years old and I think these are adorable and would be perfect for him. The only thing is, I think that $35.00 is way too much for a pair of sneakers for a toddler! Their feet grow too fast. Anyhow, I just wanted to share how I feel about these adorable shoes created by Adidas. They also have them in Magenta for girls. Are they not the most adorable?

Alli Weight Loss Pills

Okay so Alli is suppose to be the only FDA approved weight loss pill. I guess it's purpose is to help you "get out the fat" (oh I'm sorry, block the fat?!) just incase you screw up. I guess then in that case I could definitely use it! However, on the back it says because I'm 4'11" I have to be at least 133lbs. That sucks! I'm actually 117 right now, but I would like to lose at least 17-20 lbs. What would happen if I take it anyway? I'm still a bit overweight. Exercising doesn't seem to work quickly enough for me. I'm always slipping up and having sweets when I'm trying to diet. I'm weak just like all the other fat people. I'm too afraid to go against their precautions. I think the pills are awsome. Just wish I could take it :-)) I could care less about the awfully gross side effects. The damn thing prevent you from gaining weight!!I know I will never, ever let myself get like that...lol

25 Random Things About Myself!

25 random things about myself

1. I am extremely reserved and have a hard time voicing my opinions in group/ social situations.

2. I nearly died in 2007 while pregnant with my son due to severe preeclampsia.

3. I now have zero close friends. The one and only close friend I had died in 2006. He was only 33.

4. I know the lyrics to most light rock music from the eighties to early nineties only because my mother played that type of music ALL THE TIME when we were growing up. I grew up to really appreciate it and love it as an adult.

5. I have a fear of flying.

6. I wish I was at least 5 inches taller and had more of a feminine shape.

7. I just absolutely hate hair in the bed or on the floors of my house. I can tolerate it for a short period of time.

8. When I was a little girl (around 11 or 12) I used to steal from a black owned beauty supply store. I felt so bad about it for a long time. In fact, it’s the only black owned beauty supply store I have ever seen since and I’m now 28.

9. At times I have changed my clothes up to 4 times before leaving the house due to my fear of people looking at the outfit I’m wearing and judging me for it.

10. I really enjoy making wigs for myself only.

11. I once shaved ALL of my hair off while pregnant w/ my third baby because my hair was coming out at the scalp.

12. My first and second children look nothing like me AT ALL and they are above average in height. My last child (a girl) looks EXACTLY like me and she just might be short like me as well. In fact, my hubby says when the doctors was pulling her out (via c-section) she looked so much like me that he thought she was gonna start yelling at him any minute!

13. I think I have this obsession with my hair looking decent in public because when I was a young child, my mom let me go to school with my hair looking all a mess. She went to work and never did my hair at times. So now, my hair must look professionally styled (most of the time) in some way, before I go someplace.

14. I have gone horseback riding and love it.

15. I also enjoy deep sea fishing so very much.

16. I drive using BOTH feet. However, I have a automatic car!

17. I love dramatic fiction & nonfiction books by black authors only. I’m not racist, but I find them more entertaining.

18. I want to write a childrens’ book someday.

19. I have been skinny most of my life. I used to east whatever, how much I want and NOT gain weight. Now, after three children I have a slight weight problem and can’t control my portion amount.

20. Because I’m so petite & look younger, when having a conversation with people I stand close to them and look them right in the eyes and smile. It’s an uncontrollable habit now and people view me as the young lady I am & because I do that, I’m taken seriously.

21. You’ll never catch me wearing a halter top. They are ONLY made for the very skinny and even still they look trashy. IMO!

22. I used to have the most awful menstrual cramps as a teenager. I would be doubled over in pain. At times I would take all kinds of medication for the pain alone. Now, I have no cramps or heavy bleeding. This is what I dreamed of as a teen.

23. I have been selling on eBay for years and I love it just as much as the very first day I started.

24. I have a love-hate relationship with myself. I love that I’m a kind and giving person/mother. But, I hate that I have zero motivation, lack self confidence and have no self esteem.

25. I consider myself so lucky to be blessed with a great sense of humor. I can be entertained easily, I can get down to all types of music and I’m non-judgmental.
