Im a petite and skinny young lady. It's harder to find affordable clothes that fit me and look right on me as well. I love shopping at NY&Co, Macy's, Lord and Taylor, Ross, TJ Maxx- and a few others, but sometimes either those stores don't have my 2p (2 petite) or my size is far too expensive!
I have short legs, broad-like shoulders and narrow hips. In other words, I'm an inverted 'triangle'. I love my little shape though. I wouldn't want to change it, but I would however love to find clothes that fit correctly without looking crazy.
The hardest things for me would be finding jeans, dresses, jackets and skirts that I like. I went out and bought a few things and they fit great. The prices was not bad at all either!

So, I saw this faux leather jacket on eBay and I just had to have it. The cut and length is just right for my short torso. The sleeve length was better than perfect. The jacket has the cutest ruffles down the front for some style. It's a nice pretty beige color. Goes great with my Dolce Vita Dacia's in nude! Fit me perfectly! Brand: Yisiman Cost: $32

I saw this above leather jacket on eBay I also just had to have. It's 100% leather and a soft buttery leather too! It's fitted and very stylish. I pair it with skinny jeans and boots. Okay so this 100% brown leather jacket I bought from eBay as well. It's fitted and not as soft as the black leather jacket above, but it's just as stylish and cute on me. It's a true moto style. I love it because I can wear it with almost any outfit. The length is awesome and it fit me perfectly. Brand: Arden B Cost: $37

Okay, so I wear a 2 petite in jeans. It has to be a true petite size jean too! My inseam measures approximately 28"-29". Some really nice fitting jeans I already have. But I realized that in my town of Idaho Falls, they have no 2 petites! I kid you not!! None! So I have to purchase my jeans online. I hate purchasing jeans online because with the different brands, the fit is also different too.
I found out that a girls size 12 plus is equal to a 2 petite size women jeans. So I ordered like 4 pairs of Old Navy girls jeans in size 12 plus. I was so surprised when they fit better than any jeans I have ever bought. The inseam was right on point as I am 4'11" and 108lbs. Wow!
I looked for girls jeans that look appropriate for adults also. I never buy girls jeans that have embellishments or rhinestones or flowers and stuff on them. The girls jeans I buy look like regular ladies jeans. You would never know unless I told you- which I have! Anyhow, the jeans look like a 2 petite!
I bought the Dreamer jean from Old Navy in all the colors they had available. I also started going to Target and Walmart and picking up some girls 12 plus jeans there too! They costed me around $10 each! This was when Old Navy had the black friday sales. But for the most part, girls jeans are much more affordable!
I noticed that Ross Dress for Less and TJ Maxx has the best dresses for the petite ladies like me. They carry petite sizes and xs sizes too. They have a variety of styles and all so very affordable. The empire waist dresses and belted dresses are my favorite.
So it may be hard and it gets frustrating at times shopping for clothing, but most of the time it's fun and exciting and I end up spending hours in the store doing what I love. But it's taken me many years to learn how to dress for my body type. I'm proud to say I'm coming along well. Thanks to the stores that offer variety clothing and sizes for the women of many shapes and sizes.
